A product of California's San Joaquin Valley, Andrea Adolph was raised in Fresno and Sacramento, and earned a BA from California State University, Fresno. After receiving an MFA degree in Creative Writing and Literature from Mills College, she remained in Oakland, CA until 1996. Her poems have appeared in numerous literary journals.
Ms. Adolph currently resides in Baton Rouge, LA, where she is a doctoral candidate in English at Louisiana State University. After twelve years in the restaurant industry, she is now working on a dissertation on representations of food and eating and women's culture in twentieth-century British women's fiction. She has an article on Virginia Woolf and George Bernard Shaw forthcoming in SHAW: The Annual of Bernard Shaw Studies. |
Anne F. Walker was born in Berkeley California and brought up in Toronto. After earning a B.F.A. from York University and working as a professional poet in Toronto for several years, she returned to the San Francisco Bay Area for an M.F.A. from Mills College.
Her poetry books include Into the Peculiar Dark (The Mercury Press & bpNichol Foundation, 1998), Pregnant Poems (Black Moss Press, 1994), and Six Months Rent (Black Moss Press, 1991). Her fourth book, foodmoneysexdrugs-lovePoems is in publisher negotiation and fifth, Enter the Apartment is currently in progress. Into the Peculiar Dark, lovePoems, Enter the Apartment, and Six Months Rent were all awarded Canada Council literature grants. |
